types of claims

There are different types of claims a worker can make if they have been injured at work.

If you suffer a work-related injury you may be able to claim compensation.

  • permanent impairment claims

    If your injury results in permanent impairment you may be entitled to receive permanent impairment compensation.

  • psychological injury claims

    If you suffer a psychological or psychiatric injury you will require medical evidence indicating you suffer from a diagnosable psychological or psychiatric disorder as a result of your employment.

  • work break and journey claims

    Accidents sometimes happen during work breaks or while travelling to or from work.

  • hearing impairment claims

    If your hearing becomes impaired because of your work environment, you may be able to claim the cost of hearing aids and certain hearing tests.

  • Weekly payment claims

    If your injury results in incapacity for employment and earnings loss you may be entitled to receive weekly payments of compensation.

  • Medical, hospital and rehabilitation expenses

    If you require medical, hospital or rehabilitation treatment as a result of your injury, you may be entitled to have these expenses paid for.
